Obedience training is a fun way to connect and establish great relationships with dogs.
I began obedience training with Sasha in 1998. At that time I had no in- tention of competing formally, I just wanted a well-behaved house dog. After a couple of years, I decided I was going to compete in obedience with Sasha through the Mixed Breed Dog Clubs of America and the United Kennel Club. It took lots of patience, but at the age of 5 Sasha earned both the MB-CD and UCD titles in 2003. There are many funny stories, pictures and video of our time in the ring. |
Rally is a newer sport that people can enjoy with their dogs. The object is to navigate a course of signs, each one is an obedience exercise. Rally became an AKC titling event in January of 2005 and has had great success. |
